The Location – This duplex is set on the Northern end of Wanda headland. A 130m walk brings you to Wanda Beach, a picturesque spot with calm waters for swimming (tidal). You can walk around the Wanda Headland along a gravel pathway offering seats to stop and soak up the magnificent views. Also close to hand (260m) is the Wanda Beach Shops, which has a selection of restaurants, takeaways, coffee shop, convenience store, butcher, bakery, chemist, post office and bottle shop. For more choice, visit the main Salamander Shopping Centre (4.5km away). If you are a keen golfer then the Horizons Golf Course is only 3km away. The main township of Nelson Bay is 8.5km away. The Rick Stein Restaurant at the Bannisters Resort is just over one kilometer away with multiple dining options and opposite Bannisters is the Soldiers Point Bowling Club which offers affordable meals.
The Duplex – This stylish first floor duplex has been designed for family living. A naturally flowing layout with an open plan living area with floating floor boards throughout, WiFi and air conditioning systems in all the rooms. The lounge area offers tasteful modern white furnishings, corner leather lounge and a large flat screen TV (please note that the fire place is not for guest use). Glass sliding doors opens out to a balcony with pleasing elevated Bay water views. A modern dining table and eight chairs are positioned next to a trendy well equipped kitchen, complete with stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, full fridge/freezer, oven/stove top and a pre rinse spray arm at the sink for your convenience. The kitchen offers plenty of bench space to prepare meals and a breakfast bar with three bar chairs.
Continuing through the duplex are two generous sized bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and access to another private balcony which also offers water views and the other with a tri bunk (double on the bottom and single on the top) and a fold out bed. Both bedrooms have air conditioning and smart TV’s. The duplex also consists of an internal laundry with a top loader washing machine and a dryer, and the fresh bathroom offers a bath, shower, vanity/mirrored cupboard, with the toilet separate. Continuing to the back of the duplex is a lovely balcony/veranda with a peaceful leafy outlook and features outdoor table and six chairs, a large market umbrella, a gas BBQ and a clothes line.
The elevated driveway up to the duplex has 30 minute parking for loading and unloading. Parking is on the street. Please note: we also manage the duplex below, this makes for a perfect holiday getaway for two families and still have your own space and privacy. Driveway parking is permitted if booking the two duplex’s.
There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.
Linen packs and bed makes are provided for this property. Please note that linen is provided for the fold out bed but not a bed make. Bunk beds will also have linen provided but not made.
